INTRODUCTION
The Electro Technical Rating Training Programme has been designed to equip students with the necessary skills & knowledge in handling of electrical & electronic equipment and
their function on board ship . The course provides students with sound theoretical knowledge & practical exposure to be competent & confident in handling, Repairing, Servicing
and Maintaining of ship electrical & electronic equipments. The Electro Technical Rating is responsible for all the maintenance of normal and emergency lighting circuits guided by
ETO and assisting ETO for all other maintenance and repair of all electrical and electronic equipment, installations and machinery. This also includes radio communications and
electronic navigation aids.
