ya I tried with another SIM card and the same prob appears.
btw I was told by our ek member heshanperis that I need to re-install the OS
anyways yesterday nyt my phone displayed "inactivated Sim" at the place where "Sri Dialog" appears. I switched off the 4n and then switched it on. Then "Sri Dialog" appeared so I was able to get calls n etc.any idea abt it?

I don't know why it happened. But I think you might need to re-flash the phone.
But if you're not using the phone for very private matters, then don't waste your energy into it. Coz in Sri Lanka, I don't think still it's easy to get access to equipments to eavesdrop.
