Most of the coconut oils here contain TRANS FAT due to the refining process. Due to lack of knowledge, 90% Sri Lankans don't aware of it.

No matter what cooking oil you used .. what brand... If it's bleached/deodorized / refined means it has TRANS FAT. Which causes heart attacks / cancers and other heath issues.

Best to buy Virgin coconut or chemical-free refinding oils.

Marina is the cheapest option. They are safe to use. Stay away from GMOs like SOY OIL / CORN OIL / RDB OILs etc.

Marina one of leading brands and it technically does it better. They never use chemical refining. They have extra virgin (EVO) for salads etc. Refind bleach (which is popular in sri lankads ) for Deep frying etc.

We are using organic virgin coconut oil for everything except deep frying.

For deep frying we use refined coconut oil.
