Message: <blockquote data-quote="sherlock" data-source="post: 10772497" data-attributes="member: 106046">29/07/2011·      The All Share Price Index gained 191.8 points to close at 6,845.4 (+2.9%), whilst the more liquid  Milanka Price Index also gained 131.9  points to close at 6,210.1 (+2.2%).·      The total turnover was LKR3,145.0 mn (USD28,718.9k) vs.12-month average daily turnover of LKR2,731.4 mn (USD24,941.7k) whilst the volume traded for the day was 102,628.4k  against the 12-month average daily volume of 105,935.1k.·      Top traded counters were Ceylon Guardian Investment Trust LKR318.6 mn (USD2,909.3k, +15.5%), Ceylon Grain Elevators LKR298.9 mn (USD2,729.4k, +33.8%), Three Acre Farms  LKR246.5 mn (USD2,250.9k, +36.4%), Citrus Leisure LKR177.2 mn (USD1,618.1k, -5.7%) and Bairaha Farms  LKR126.1 mn (USD1,151.5k, +16.6%).·      Colombo bourse continued to witness a green note with both indices gaining significantly.  Ceylon Guardian Investment Trust emerged as the top traded counter backed by institutional investor participation contributing circa 10% of daily turnover. Further the counter saw 1 mn shares changing hands during the day. Ceylon Grain Elevators, Three Acre Farms, Citrus Leisure and Bairaha Farms saw all round investor interest.·      Net outflow of foreign funds were seen during the day, where foreign purchases amounted to LKR174.5 mn (USD1,593.5k), whilst foreign sales amounted to LKR582.1 mn (USD5,315.5k).</blockquote>
