The best performing sectors for the day were Manufacturing and diversified sectors correspondingly, a stock broker said. </p><p></p><p> The total traded volume for the day was 122.58Mn. The highest traded stock for the day was Orient Garments Limited with 30.2Mn shares changing hands. The market recorded crossings on John Keells Holdings Plc, Ceylon Guardian Investment Trust Plc and National Development Bank PLC. The market was retailer driven with low trade volumes. The market saw movement on TAFL, BFL and GRAN the counters saw considerable gains in share value but was unable to sustain the prices and therefore closed the day recording lower share values. The price gainers outnumbered the price losers by 87:119, Asha Phillip Securities Ltd said in a research note .</p></blockquote><p></p>
