Market is facing resistance around 7000 index level for past few days. Milanka fell 15.89 points to close at 6271.04. Day's total equity turnover amounted to 2.30 billion rupees.  Softlogic Capital Ltd has received the approval for listing 27,200,000 of its ordinary shares by the way of introduction without having an IPO. Meanwhile Amana Takaful Plc has issued a notice on its subsidiary Amana Takaful (Maldives)Plc. Amana's Maldivian subsidiary will issue 800,000 shares at Rufiyaa 20.00 each in Republic of Maldives.  There were 111 negative contributors and 78 gainers for the day. Central Finance Company Plc was up by eight rupees to close at 278.40 while Ceylon Beverage Holdings Plc closed at Rs 436.00, up 36.50. 1,346,100 shares of The Finance Company Plc (TFC) changed hands during the day and closed four rupees higher at 42.10.Index heavy Carsons lost 8.60 to close at Rs 595.70 while CT Holdings was down by 7.70 to end the day at Rs 189.70.
