The concept of liveability is simple: it assesses which locations around the world provide the best or the worst living conditions. Assessing liveability has a broad range of uses, from benchmarking perceptions of development levels to assigning a hardship allowance as part of expatriate relocation packages. The Economist Intelligence Unit's liveability rating, part of the Worldwide Cost of Living Survey, quantifies the challenges that might be presented to an individual's lifestyle in 140 cities worldwide. Each city is assigned a score for over 30 qualitative and quantitative factors across five broad categories:
    • Stability
    • Healthcare
    • Culture and environment
    • Education
    • Infrastructure

Colombo should newer be in the last 10!!! probably some Eezlam (eelam) tamil bugger would have been the person getting the statistics...

I have traveled all over the world from the most developed to the least. and Colombo is definitely not in the bottom. Statisticaly Colombo has got 99% literacy rate, there is a huge middle class. the city is equipped with the latest technologies. and the population below poverty line is alot less compared most other cities in the developing countries.

Furthermore this is definitely wrong, because "CMC" area is tiny. its only got 650,000 ppl living in it. It can no way be in the last 10!!!

Colombo is an international city, we got most of the facilities that the developed countries have, and in some cases more..

You are being wrong here. When Economist put something in it, its world famous :) Posting it here makes Elakirians, Whom the people in Sri Lanka, get aware of the situation. What you say is "don't post these things here, so that Sri Lankan people stay in the dark of the real situation". Getting things into discuss is a good thing. We can then solve them.
