Complaints have been filed against Journalist Chamuditha Samarawickrama over contempt of court charges and violation of the qurantine law.
Manju Sri Chandrasena, the lawyer representing event organizer Chandimal Jayasingha told NewsWire that his client has lodged a complaint against Chamuditha Samarawickrama for insulting the judiciary by criticising the court’s decision to grant bail to him and his birthday party guests.
“We filed a complaint with the Police and the Attorney General’s Department. We will be filing a case in court once the court sessions recommence, ” the lawyer said.
Chandimal Jayasinghe has also filed another complaint against Chamuditha Samarawickrama alleging that he had violated the qurantine law by appearing in a YouTube interview without mask and not maintaining social distance. (NewsWire)
