when I Click on my hard drive (D:\ drive) it Asks for an application to open with why is that

virus! if u want to access it immediately, right click n hit explore.
then you can use some kind of antivirus to clean it up. if u wnt to manually delete the virus:
go to the command prompt (start-->Run-->cmd)
and type:
d:
hit enter
then type:
attrib -s -h /s /d
then all the virus programs will appear on the d drive. delete all suspicious looking programs or if u have an antivirus it will detect which 1 is the virus for u.

what does it say when you click on it?? are you by any chance using vista?

scan that particular hard drive with your anti-virus program and delete the virus if found....even delete the virus definitions and then restart the computer
