    coupla years back i uploaded a book into mediafire and posted the link in a book sharing forum. today i got a mail from mediafire saying that my upload has been removed cuz it's against copyright laws an stuff.. will the original proprietor of the book take legal action against me?:sorry:

    the book i uploaded was Software engineering by ian sommerville. actually coupla years back i wanted the book, having failed to find one i took a book from our campus library, scanned all the pages, compiled into a pdf and uploaded thinking about the others who whould've had the same trouble finding the book..

    so basically i am the one who scanned the book from the original print:sorry::sorry::sorry:
    (and some pages of the scan have university of peradeniya library stamp)

    what should i do???:eek::shocked::sorry:

    actually i'm worried about the university of pera library stamp on some pages.. with that they can in theory trace it back to me:sorry::eek::shocked:

    but they can't know that it was your account right? :eek:
    does the library stamp has ur name or something that might reveal ur identity?:oo:
    if not you're ok. I mean they can't specify that it was you right?
    (don't know anything about libraries, never got a book from libraries)

    well actually if the author really wants to nail me down all he has to do is to contact pera science library. that bitch in the library will do anything to fuck up a student. she'll gladly provide them the list of all the people who borrowed that book and then it's only a matter of time before they knock on my door:shocked::lol:
