First making another country unstable by arming and backing separatists, then coming up with all excuses to destroy and occupy the country.

I'm not really sure why some Sri Lankans cheer so much Putin on attacking Ukraine,

It's same as supporting India if India decides to conquer SL by saying the Tamil speaking people in the North are/were mistreated and the SL's growing alliances with China threatening India's defense.

I assume some people are too narrow minded and focused on their hate and jealousy towards west while being overwhelmed with all the disinformation floating around

Putin is a master manipulator. Most who brag about Putin are ones who either read one or two Russian literature that overglorify soviet union and communism, or ones who blindly believe Putin's a hero because they see the west as the villain.
