Dear all, this is just to keep you informed of the current COVID situation in the NHSL, as teachers of the FoM Col, we are stake-holders.
As of yesterday, there are about 380 patients, 1/3 oxygen dependent.
There are no more 'oxygen beds' in the COVID wards.
Daily about 10 patients in each of the non-COVID medical wards become +ve.
They are kept side-by-side with non-COVID patients with other general medical problems, sharing common toilets and the pantry, as COVID wards are full.
More medical wards are being converted to COVID wards (our Wd 41 & 48B are now COVID wards) and the medical patients are being relocated. Isolation rooms in 'relocated' wards are small and poorly ventilated.
Two of our junior medical staff, both vaccinated & having good antibody response, are positive.
A group of about 50 students are currently in the Prof Med appointment. Two of these students who did the week end casualty have become COVID +ve.

කතාව සම්පූර්ණ ඇත්ත දොස්තර මහත්තයා .මොකද මම පොසිටිව් වෙලා පිලියන්දල හොස්පිටල් ඉන්නෙ .මම එනකොට පිරිමි වාට්ටුවෙ ඔක්කොම 10 ක් වගෙ හිටියෙ .එත් මේ වෙනකොට ගැහැනු පිරිමි වාට්ටු දෙකම පිරිලා.කලින් එක්කෙනෙක් දෙන්නෙක් ආපු තැන දැන් ගැන්සි පිටින් එන්නෙ.වැඩෙ බරපතලයි කියලා දැන්නම් මට තේරෙනවා.කරුමෙ කියන්නෙ හැදෙන්න කලින් තෙරුනෙ නැනෙ
