A Police curfew will be effective from today 6.00pm to tomorrow 6.00am in the Karandeniya and the Ahungalla areas, Police said.
Police said additional STF teams have been deployed in these areas.
The curfew in Karandeniya was imposed last night following tension after the suspects involved in the murder of a doctor was arrested and the houses and business establishments of the suspects were attacked. In Ahungalla the curfew was imposed due to a clash between two groups.
