Hmmm ...well she might get selected in a boat..u knw wht boats mean ryt?thats the 2nd round....If not if you can afford send her abroad..she certainly has the potential to be a doctor.I did my A'ls in SL and i know how tough it is...So IF u can send her abroad. Maybe to Monash Uni in malaysia..It's world rank is in 50 s and very cheap

im a final year medical student in sri lankan univeersity..
so i do explain things as i know...

no boats for medicine. as nobody leaves the degree .so forget abt it..

go to ugc and try to apply some other options on list.
    they are usually flexible.

    order is

    dental sciences.
    microbiology.
    genetics.
    physiotherapy.
    colombo ict.

but not sure abt that their decision..
but being in margin and not applying some other options ...? stupid.

number being selected from each district depends on the merit for each district. so surely this time colombo had bad results compare to downsouth,.so the merit chance is with them.

    and finally..
dont go foreign countries for medicine..
    bangladesh,
    nepal.
    specially china and russia.

if u cant afford for uk, usa or atleast ramachandran india..
    dont even think abt it..

problem is, theres an exam call act 16 to register in sri lanka as a doctor.
which the pass rate is extremly low.below 10%.
reason is, it meassures the clinical skills of the candidate.
so the real patient examination skills are essential.

note- most of the so called private university students dont get a real patient for months...in ustc bangladesh ,the patient to student ratio is 30:1.
in our hospital clinicals we do examine atleast 25 patients a day..
see the difference of results..? and the common disease management is so different from that country.so she has to learn again.

so usual student has to go 3 times through that to pass.
so she might be 30- 32 years then..
    happy?

come out from bingo hole and think differently...if goes for foreign university...think something else..IT OR MBA..

if u still want ur daughter to become the doctor...?
ask her to do exam again.there are lot of students who came from 3rd time.its so narmal here inside university..
so she can quickly become a doctor in sri lanka than going to a foreign country..

this answer is so responsible and this is the answer which i give for even my own brother or sister.........
