DANCING STAR coming on Feb. 12
The much-hyped movie ‘Dancing Star’ directed by Susara Dinal and produced by Sirasa Movies for the first time, will hit the big screens from February 12 in the CEL circuit.
The star-studded movie that also features a whole heap of gifted youngsters, revolves around the magical tryst between destiny and talent.
Incredibly talented dancer Shiroshi (Sirasa Dancing Star winner) emerges from an impoverished background and her journey from the backwaters to the pinnacle of the glamour scene, is laden with many a twist and turn. Her unexpressed feelings for fellow dancer Dushyanth remains just unexpressed. Destiny takes a new turn when the country’s senior-most actor Dunuwila (Ravindra Randeniya) spots the immense potential in this young girl and goes all out to give her all the backing until she is moved right to the top in the glamour world.
A whole new world filled with music, dancing, new liaisons and even new romance, is unwrapped before young Shiroshi.
Young dancer Roshan Ranawana pairs up with Shiroshi in her performance only to fall for her, despite the intentions of fellow competitor Nilanthi Dias who is dying for Roshan’s love.
In his attempts to groom Shiroshi into stardom, the middle-aged Dunuwila experiences the full force of social stigma due to his platonic love for a young dancer. Malani Fonseka who plays his wife fumbles as she tries to comprehend her husband’s intentions.
Dancing Star is not just a movie about a boy and a girl, about dancing or music but it’s an emotional story that talks about talent....talent that cannot be suppressed.
