For comparison, the reward for Prabhakaran was Rs. 5 million. For 30 years of violent conflict not for 2 months helping his father-in-law's election campaign.
Danuna Tillakaratne is NOT involved in arms deals as falsely publicized by the government. The government's actual charge is that he forged a signature - a charge they are not able to prove.
These allegations are simply lies to force Danuna to give a verdict against the General.
It is time Sri Lankans heard the truth from their officials. It is also time that government officials stopped spending our tax money on false allegations. All weapons transactions in Sri Lanka, are governed by Lanka Logistics and Technologies. Established by the government, and run by the Defense Secretary, this is the sole procurement agency for all military equipment.
Millions for poster, millions for TV ads, millions spent on getting the police and CID to cater to every whim of a government blinded by revenge.
The economy, resettlement of population, an alarmingly widening budget crisis, a pitiful human rights record, government curruption.
With a million burning issues - we are still trying to spend millions on harassing the innocent.
Also, is anyone that foolish to think the government will allow them to live freely, if they do collect this reward?
