(Lanka-e-News, May 18, 2009, 3.00 PM) As the fourth Ealam war is totally defeated in Sri Lanka, the dark shadows of the fifth Ealam war can be seen in places in the world as the lives and property of the Sinhalese and the anti-LTTE Tamils are damaged.
Australia: Sri Lankan Sinhalese and Tamils clashed violently in Australia last night (17), reports Australian media.
Tamil Ealamists in 120 vehicles paraded on roads in Sydney yesterday (17) waving Ealam flags. They clashed with a group of Sinhala youth that were in a vehicle park. Several persons were taken into custody in relation to the incident.
After this incident, two Sinhala youths in a house in Westmead were stabbed and attacked with acid and one person is under intensive care.
India: Tamilnadu police alarmed of attacks on the Sri Lankan offices and firms in the state have intensified security in those places.
Germany: Around 500 Tamils blocked tracks of the 24 platform Frankfort railway station which is a hub of office workers on May 17.
Canada: Sri Lankan Sinhalese are agitated with the attack on the Sri Lankan Buddhist temple in Toronto, Canada. A door of the Buddhist center was completely burnt with this attack. The incumbent of the temple Thissamaharamaya Nalaka Thero says that the Ealamists were making threatening calls to the temple since two weeks before the incident.
