i am no better knowledged person to argue on points of facts and principles with an expert on political studies like Dr Dayan. But it seems that he has not much touched upon in this video about post war reconciliation and in comparing the previous and the now administration. He mentioned about reconciliation but not elaborated on the point.

He says that RW having an history of going for peace process and acting against war is not the best compared with MR given that within 4 years MR government has finished the war. That may be his way of tackling the the situation. Does that mean he is not good in the post war reconciliation process. also its not him alone, there is a parliament of which most of the MPs are from the previous MR regime.

again, maybe there are things i as a laymen would not know better than Dr Dayan, but i feel the current government is doing right things in showing respect to communities affected by a long war. it will not be easy specially with wounded souls and people acting on their own agendas for their own benefits rather than thinking like humans. may be the things done by wigneshwaran also not in the best interest of the wider reconciliation process rather only for the benefit of some. the same way some people in the south might do things say stuff that can hurt the tamil communities. but that should not stop the government from taking every measure to alleviate the ruined lives of many innocent families and inculcate the true spirit of humanity and to feel together as sri lankans.

    just a thought
