No matter how hard people try when one analyses the census in Sri Lanka comparation between 2001 to 2012. It shows us that Sri Lankans population has increased but People practice more of other religions than Buddhism in the country.

Hinduism has increased from 7.8% in 2001 to 12.6% in 2012. It is a dramatic rise.

Islam has increased from 8.5% in 2001 to 9.7% in 2012 steadily.

Christianity has increased from 7% in 2001 to 7.4% in 2012. It has a slow pace of growth

Buddhism is loosing ground to all religions from 76.7% in 2001 to 70.2% in 2012.

This nearly 30% of the country do not practice Buddhism , this trend is going to rise especially when extremist Buddhist tend to insult other religions.

Please have a look at census departments website.

Exactly..That is why extremist group like sivasena trying to malign other religions and trying to propagate Buddhism in strange way. this buggers also have a protest against Muslims for no reason on 30.11.2012.

Srilanka is going to be the mess in the future, unless the government look in to this terrorist buddhist groups.
