All you need is the service tag info (it is printed on a sticker pasted underneath the laptop) and keep the recipt (though not needed). However, keep in mind that neither DELL Studio nor Inspiron series is coverd in Sri Lanka by Softlogic, you’ll have to ship it overseas to the closest DELL service center (India / Singapore)  to claim warranty.</blockquote>
