Desktops That Can be Seen and Not Heard

Whenever an Overdrive PC comes into the labs, I look forward to what's sure to be an interesting review. And when the Overdrive Core2.X-Fire ($6,902 direct as tested[still nt sl]) arrived, it didn't disappoint. In a move that shows the shift of the enthusiast industry, Overdrive has blessed the Core2.X-Fire with an Intel Core 2 Extreme processor. Until now, all the Overdrive PCs I've reviewed have been based on AMD's high-end Athlon 64 FX or Opteron CPUs. As I expected, the Core2.X-Fire absolutely obliterated the records on our benchmark tests—and it still runs quietly. Only its sky-high price and heavy electric power requirements keep the system from attaining most-recommended status. But if your wallet can handle it, the Core2.X-Fire will be a bragging point that's sure to catapult you to the gaming center of attention (for the time being, at least)

Looks good. But where are the specs?
Anyway, I don't like cases that have a "door" in front. Mainly because my case in kept at a lower elevation; almost on the ground. So it would hit my leg if it had a door.

Aaaapo. I found the specs. Not so great.

    Type: Gaming, Media, Business
Processor Family: Intel Core 2 Duo
    RAM: 2048 MB
    Storage Capacity: 900 GB
    RAID: Yes
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon X1900 CrossFire
    Primary Optical Drive: Dual-Layer DVD+/-RW
    Secondary Optical Drive: Dual-Layer DVD+/-RW
    Monitor Type: None

Too expensive for not so great specs. If it had a 2.93GHz Core 2 Extreme overclocked to 3.5GHz, 4GB DDR2-1066, two Geforce 8800GTX in SLi, DELL 30" LCD and two 750GB Seagate Drives then it would have been nice. And you know what, even these (what I listed) specs won't reach US$6000. Well overpriced junk!!!!
