    I brought dialog TV prepaid box & asked dialog to cancel the postpaid connection & they sent following message please advise

    Thank you for contacting us.

    Further to your e-mail note that, the mentioned Dialog TV is already in permanently disconnected state due credit actions.

    However, in order for us to disconnect the connection upon the connection's holders request, we would require a signed request letter along with the NIC.

    Further, the following charges will apply for to disconnect and hold the equipment;

    1. A retainer fee of Rs. 250 for each of the first 3 months (Reconnection fee not applicable during this period but the accumulated retainer fee needs to be paid).

    2. A reconnection fee of Rs. 1000 is applicable from the 4th month onwards up to the 6th month. You would be liable to pay reconnection fee on top of the accumulated monthly retainer fee.

    3. The equipment will be taken back in the event of a failure to reconnect within the 1st 06 months.

    Thanks & regards,

    Just go to a Dialog arcade and tell them to disconnect it.

    However, you should have asked this question before buying the new prepaid connection. The reasons are as follows:
    When you fail to pay the bills for 1 month they will disconnect your TV.
    Then after 3 months you can go to an arcade and transfer that Post-Paid connection to a Pre-Paid connection without spending any money. You will be asked to pay HALF of the standing bill, and without any more charges your connection would be made prepaid and instantly connected.
    You have missed out on that chance, i.e., getting a prepaid connection just by paying half of your outstanding bill.
    About the situation at hand, as I said, just go to an arcade with your ID, that's assuming that you are the registered owner, and get it disconnected. That's all.
