They might call themselves man or woman or tree but their genitals definitely have stopped halfway between penis and vagina.About sports...the Olympic committee contends that trans people need to undergo hormone therapy for at least 2 years before they could be considered for selections. The idea here is that under the effect of prescribed hormones over a couple of years, they'd metamorphose to attain the characteristics of their intended group (muscle loss or gain, changes in metabolism, liver function etc. as accordingly). It's not as though you are allowed to casually enter into any sporting event just because you identify yourself as trans.
