Do you people believe in God

Hi,

I was so tempted to ask this question because many were asking dis from me. So here goes?
As a Buddhist(actually this question is targeted at Buddhists) do yu believe in gods such as Vishnu/Kataragama/Saman etc...? This might be strange but so many elder people do believe in god cuz they will help them to overcome any obstacles and help the people.

well.. i'm not Buddhist... I'm catholic.. I believe in God. (The only God in the heaven) There's no such ones called gods. There is only a one powerful God. This is catholic peoples' belief

it depends on the person...its not a bad thing to believe some thing but the thing is ppl think that after we worship the gods they will bring everything to us...that will not happen...

Its not a bad thing to believe gods...
Once Gangodavila Soma thera says not to believe and all those things are rubbish, but my opinion is if you are a true Sinhalese Buddhist, you cannot ignore the things we already have.

No. Believing in the God and believing about gods are two different things.

Believing in God means you beleive in a supreme force where it pawns you according to its needs,
Gods in Buddhist philiosophy are a life form with special capabilities. No need to worship them, but they can help us.
