    “We, Quebec doctors who believe in a strong public system, oppose the recent salary increases negotiated by our medical federations,”

    More than 700 physicians, residents and medical students in Quebec are protesting the recent pay raise. Why? Well, they say they can’t accept extra money while nurses and clerks are being overworked, and patients are not getting the care they need.

    "The average salary for a specialist in Quebec is already high — $403,537 annually — compared with $367,154 in neighboring Ontario, according to CBC."

    403,537 Canadian Dollars equals
    49,104,908.30 Sri Lankan Rupees when divided by 12 = 4092075 per month

    IN sri lanka ,Even a consultant gets 40k of basic and salary of 2 lakhs... in canada doctors have a quota for each day.. patient count never exceeds beyond that unless an emergency...
    :lol::lol::lol:

    Just come to a government hospital and get the patient count

    How much tax in Local and Federal about 48% , but Alberta only Federal tax only, if you work in Quebec pay more tax if you get 180k you have to pay 48% tax, I have that experience,

    I think what he telling is that why they want to reduce the salary .. may be then they will get overall more money than now because of the low tax rate
