Sinhalu Rupees laga thiyaganna epa. Invest in properties, or other assets that doesn't get affected with inflation in a bad way.

Our govt keeps printing money. The value of rupee is gonna get lower & lower.
On top of that US goverment is printing a lot of USD now. so the value of usd is getting lower too.

Meka mulinma godak effect wenne ape wage ratawalata mulinma. So don't hold rupees more than you need for daily needs. Better yet try not to hold any fiat at all.
In hindsight USD is getting fucked bit by bit. And relatively rupee is getting ultrafucked because it's inflation on top of inflation.
Try to hold assets that the govt can't sieze or control.

What is the use of assets if buyers get lower purchasing power.

It's about protecting your current wealth as a hedge against inflation.

It's not about what people will earn after inflated economy.

If Sri Lankan economy collapses and move into a hyper inflated situation, we will see 20K or even 50K, 100K notes. An average salary, which is around 50K now, will turn into 500K.

If you have assets, then you can exchange those assets for inflated rate of cash. This is the whole point.

If we move into a hyper inflated economy, everyone is fucked. No getting out of that. But at least you will be able to sustain through for sometime, if you can carry forward your current net worth in high liquid assets. (I don't think property is the best solution)
