Why everyone like Kapugedera? He was never a consistent middle order batsman but only good as a Point/ Square Leg fielder. He only won 1 match as much as I can remember and that too was from a sixer in the last ball. Read this from wiki "Chennai Super Kings put him on sale for the 2009 Indian Premier League, but no team came forward to bid for him despite the very low starting price."

Because he's got the talent and he has the potential to be the next best thing in SL like Sanga did. Earlier in Sanga's career he had been widely criticized and questioned his place in the team by public, but he emerged after 2003 WC and became one of best batsmen in world Cricket. That's why SLC keeps Kapu reguarly in the team.

If my mind correct he almost won us the 1st ODI in WI in 08 If not Chanderpaul's last ball six. There were few cameos he played on losing occasions too besides that last ball six. So let's wait and see bro.

I hope you all remember how we lost to Aussies back in 2007 like cowards, when we had to play under some monsoon type rains and Gilchrist's cheating with a squash ball inside his gloves . Any other country would've protested and got the play extended to the next day for all common sense reasons being it the finals.
