I paid more than 35000/= sri lankan rupees for myself when I’m coming, for my family it was nearly 200, 000 (just for your info). Every 3 years I must pay this to sri lankan Gourmont. Think my brother how many people are coming in one day. How much they paying ???. but we don’t have any insures in the middle east. How funny that!.
Actually we should not talk about this why you can not change any leader in sri lankan even me!!.
So Don’t stick in your frame world is not a small place!!.
As normal citizen I’m always trying to say this enough what we seen in our history.
We need a Target about our future.
Let me put it this way........ Sri Lankan Politics sucks!! there's no 2 words about it... I agree with you on that.. but our history is one critical element in our future.. how did we get here? Why our country face this situation? you cannot neglect history Anushka.... Because you only can target future through lessons learned in the past!!!
For an example UAE is rich why? Do they have a war? No.. their economy is stable and everyone like to kiss their ass for oil money!!! Why Sri Lanka has a war.. After Banda - Chelva pact Sri Lankan politicians could've seen what's coming and should have had those rules place in tight.. but we as always try to sweet talk the way out!!! If in UAE someone goes asking for political power for other than Arabics would they sweet talk??? I don't think so.. they'll chop his head off... So you have to think Sinhalese were always try to be diplomatic and in the end that backfired us!!! (I'm not saying being diplomatic is a bad thing) so as a result our country is in a bloody war!!!
And yes, British started railways but its not because like they love us or anything.... they started railways and they suck all the life out of this country through that railways... transporting tea and coffee produced in Sri Lanka they got rich from colonies all over the world, that's how they got rich..... so called RICH COUNTRIES dirty past....
And why we are not being able to develop the railway system? When all transportations.. especially "Private Bus Mudalali" hike up prices every 3months or so.. Railway still sells tickets for reasonable prices because its government... and when I was schooling I used to take train so as a fact I know half of the people don't even care to buy tickets.... So its running on loss!!! as a service!!!
And don't forget.... Sri Lanka gives free education until campus level, and Health facilities, even free transportation for school children... money wise these are great burdens as well!!!
You are right, world is not a small place... I've seen it and I've experienced it.. that's why I'm telling you... You should be able to distinguish Sri Lanka and the rest of the world!!!
