Easter Egg on Easter holiday
Today is Easter holiday... I thought of introducing some Easter eggs in windows Xp today...
first of what is Easter egg...?
in general....Easter eggs are specially decorated eggs given to celebrate the Easter holiday or springtime.
The egg was a symbol of the rebirth of the earth in Pagan celebrations of spring and was adopted by early Christians as a symbol of the rebirth.
but.... NOW the concept has been extended...
A virtual Easter egg is an intentional hidden message, in-joke or feature in an object such as a movie, book, CD, DVD, computer program, web page or video game.

now i am going to introduce some virtual Easter eggs in windows Xp to my Elakiri brothers and sisters.(sometimes u may knw these before.. but for those didn't practice yet)...
1. Easier Way to Force Win in Solitaire -
Here is how to make you instantly win a game of solitaire. Simply press Alt + Shift + 2.
You win!
2. Windows XP Easter Egg - Pinball Mouse Control
This is a cool egg if youare rubbish at microsoft pinball or just want to make your friends know that you rule. This is how to do it:
Press start, All programs, games, Pinball.
When you are in pinball wait until the ball appears ahd then type in 'hidden test' without the quotes. if you have not mispelt this then you should be able to hold the mouse button and control the ball with the mouse.
3. Windows XP Easter Egg - Candy Cane PipesWindows XP Easter Egg - Candy Cane Pipes
1.Go to Display Properties
2.Click the Screen saver tab then Click 3D Pipes 3.Click Settings
4.Click Textured
5.Click Choose Texture
6.Click Cancel.
7.Click OK on the Screen Saver Setup
Now The Pipes
should be Candy Cane Colored!
4. Hidden Brian Eno Ambient Mix on Windows Xp
Just open Start -> Run and write "c:\windows\system32\oobe\images\title.wma"
and prepare to hear the awesome music! (It should open in Windows Media Player)
Windows Classic Scroll Bars in Paint
Start MS Paint
Click Image|Attributes
Set the size to 50x50 inches
Click OK
Select the Text Tool
Create a Textbox, but DON'T CLICK AWAY
Click either of the scroll bars
Click Anywhere on the canvas
VIOLA...Windows Classic Scroll Bars
you may call them sometimes not EASTER EGGS but bugs/tricks.. whatever it is , u can enjoy with them...
