Ebay Packing and Shipping Methods

Guys,

Can someone kindly share the various packing methods that can be used to ship ebay items from Sri Lanka?

You guys might be having lot of experiences when trying to send something from the Sri Lankan post offices to any foreign countries.

Please share your ideas, advices here if you can. It will benefit new ebay members like us who are planning to ship items from Sri Lanka.

1. What are the cheapest packing methods?

2. From where can we buy the packing supplies? (all the post offices don't sell packing supplies)

3. What do you call those items which are used for packing?

4. How safe it is to send the items in envelopes?

5. Is it better to insure the items? How much does it cost for the insurance?

etc......
