But the outcome is not what I wanted either... For real HDR you need three or more images with different exposure settings. One with normal exposure one over exposed and one under exposed. Exposure basically controls the amount of light that comes in to the camera. Easiest way to do this is to change the shutter speed. Most cameras (even Point and shoot cameras) have direct exposure controls.     But if you don’t want to bothered will all that technical stuff you can cheat and still create a HDR image using a single photo. For this you need photoshop or some other tool that lets you change the exposure of an already taken photo and a HDR software like Photomatix.
