TOWELHEAD examines a young girl’s sexual awakening in an extremely dysfunctional family–and community. Summer Bishil stars as Jasira, a 13-year-old girl being shuttled between her mother’s (Maria Bello as Gail) home in Syracuse and her father’s (Peter Macdissi as Rifat) in a suburban Houston cul-de-sac. Rifat, a Lebanese American, is overprotective of his daughter, who makes extra money by baby-sitting for neighbor Zack (Chase Ellison). Plot:

The United States armed forces have a lead on a suspected terrorist in the Middle East, but as the man is a recluse, getting a positive ID proves difficult, and the DOD's computer system recommends that the mission be aborted. The Secretary of Defense (Michael Chiklis) agrees with the abort recommendation, but the President orders the mission be carried out anyway. This turns into a political backlash when all those killed turn out to be civilians, and retaliatory bombings are carried out in response.

Jerry Shaw (Shia LaBeouf), is a Stanford University dropout who lacks direction and faces financial difficulty. He finds out his twin brother Ethan, an Air Force lieutenant, is dead. Following the funeral he goes to withdraw some money from an ATM and is surprised to see that he has $750,000 in his account. When he returns home he finds his apartment filled with a large amount of weapons, explosives, and forged documents. He receives a phone call from an unknown woman, who explains that the FBI is about to apprehend him in thirty seconds and that he must escape. Not believing her, he is caught by the FBI Agent Thomas Morgan (Billy Bob Thornton) and Air Force Office of Special Investigations Special Agent Zoe Perez (Rosario Dawson). The unknown woman arranges Jerry's escape and has him join up with single mother Rachel Holloman (Michelle Monaghan). Holloman is being coerced into helping by the woman, who threatens to kill her son, Sam, a trumpet player on his way to Washington, D.C. from Chicago for a band recital.

The woman helps the pair to avoid the police and FBI units, demonstrating the ability to remotely control virtually any networked device, such as traffic lights, cell phones, and even automated cranes. While Jerry and Rachel follow her instructions, the woman has a crystal explosive made into a necklace and its sound-based trigger placed inside Sam's trumpet. Jerry and Rachel are led from Chicago to Washington, D.C. via Indianapolis and Dayton through various means. They reach a store the woman asked them to go. The woman decides to introduce herself to them: she is a top secret super-computer called ARIA tasked with gathering intelligence from all over the world. ARIA can control virtually anything electronic, and has been monitoring both their lives and brought both Jerry and Rachel to her.

In light of the mistake made by the President at the beginning of the film, ARIA has decided that the executive branch is a threat to the public good and must be eliminated. ARIA plans to destroy the President's cabinet, and calls this Operation Guillotine. It has decided to leave the Secretary of Defense, who agreed with its recommendation to abort, as the successor to the presidency. She does not reveal this to Jerry or Rachel, merely explaining that she is trying to help the people of the United States.

At the Pentagon, where ARIA is housed, Agent Perez discovers that Ethan worked as a technician for the computer and locked it down to prevent ARIA from carrying out her plan. Perez warns the Secretary of Defense and they discuss the situation in a sealed room to prevent ARIA from hearing their conversation. Jerry and Rachel arrive at the Pentagon and are led to the super computer, where ARIA forces Jerry to impersonate Ethan and use an override code allowing her to go ahead with the plan. Jerry observes CCTV footage displaying Ethan's fatal car crash (due to sabotaged traffic lights), realizing ARIA orchestrated Ethan's death since his twin could've stopped her. She then instructs Rachel to eliminate Jerry to prevent the lock from being reinstated, but Rachel cannot bring herself to do it. Rachel is led out of the building by ARIA while Jerry is caught by Agent Morgan. Having been warned by Agent Perez, Morgan believes Jerry's story and takes him to the United States Capitol. On their way, however, ARIA sends an MQ-9 Reaper UCAV after them. Agent Morgan sacrifices himself to destroy the craft and save Jerry.

Meanwhile, Agent Perez returns to the super computer and is successful in destroying it (by piercing her positronic CPU), but not before ARIA uploads 27% of its memory to another location. Rachel is given the explosive necklace and sent to watch the President's speech. Sam's class, whose recital has been moved from the Kennedy Center to the Capitol for the President's State of the Union Address, begins to play. The trigger that will set off the explosive necklace is set to activate when Sam plays a high F on his trumpet corresponding to the word "free" in the last verse of the U.S. national anthem. Jerry successfully infiltrates the vicinity and fires Morgan's pistol into the air, stopping the performance and emptying the room just as Sam starts to play the F, but provoking a Secret Service agent to shoot him in the shoulder.

In the aftermath of the chaos ARIA caused, the Secretary of Defense urges that another super computer should not be built. Ethan posthumously receives the Medal of Honor while Jerry, injured but alive and well, receives the Congressional Gold Medal. The film ends with Jerry attending Sam's birthday party. Jerry gives Sam the video game Rock Band and Sam and his friends go off and play it. Rachel thanks him for attending and kisses him on the cheek. She then tells Jerry that she is glad that he is there.

Red Cliff-DVD rip [2008]

Chi Bi should be translated as Red Cliffs, was written in the famous Chinese novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms in the 14th century, the story tells one of the greatest battles in the Chinese 5,000 years history, it took place in the turbulent years among warlords and nobles in the end of the Han Dynasty, about 180 years A.D., the most calculative cunning evil man of the Chinese history Cao Cao who was the Prime Minister of the Han Dynasty led a eight hundred thousand men army attack two opposition forces Liu Bei and Sun Quan in the southern China after uniting the north.

Liu Bei was famous due to his kindness to his people and his oath to his sworn brothers Guan Yu (was later honored as the God of Martial Art) and Zhang Fei. Liu Bei also received helps from Zhuge Liang, probably the smartest man recorded in the Chinese history as his Military Adviser and one of the best generals at the time Zhao Yun. Cao Cao envied Liu Bei's personal quality who can attract loyal comrades while Cao Cao himself is always in betrayal dilemma with his allies.

Liu Bei named his kingdom as Shu-Han, in order to defeat the northern invasion troops led by Cao Cao, Liu Bei had no choice but to seek for alliance from Eastern Wu Kingdom in Jiangdong led by Sun Quan. Liu Bei sent the talented Zhuge Liang to Eastern Wu to persuade Sun Quan and his best right-hand man Zhou Yu. Although Zhou Yu felt that Zhuge Liang along with Shu-Han will be a future threat to Eastern Wu, he decided to form alliance for the time being with Shu-Han to resist the invasion by Cao Cao. The battle took place in a pass on the Yangtze River called Chi Bi, AKA Red Cliffs.

John Woo did a fantastic job in portraying the characters in the book of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, all the actors and actresses are the best in the contemporary Chinese cinematographic circle, the battle scenes are great, and this movie is the highest budge film in the Chinese film industry to date. It is a MUST see if you are interested in the Chinese history.

Ghajini Review:
The film begins with some medical students learning about the brain, as part of some college work a medical student called Sunita picks up the file of Sanjay Singhania and ask to do her report on him. When she is refused the case study she ask for more information about the case; her tutor explains to her that Mr Singhania suffers from anterograde amnesia and that his Short-term memory only last 15 minutes.
Sanjay is then shown murdering a man with a pipe, and after wards taking a Polaroid picture, adding the caption "Done", the police arrive at the scene and start their investigations. Sanjay then goes home and where he has a large collection of photos, notes, maps and sticky labels organized in a room at the back of his flat. The sticky notes remind to perform tasks and label where the items he carries are to be stored, for example he has a drawer labelled "camera", a tub labelled "cell phone" he also has photos of people and places he deems important.
When Sanjay wakes up having forgotten everything, he goes to the bathroom where a label instructs him to remove his shirt; following the order the tattoos on his body are revealed. Most are backwards with the most predominate reading "Kalpana was Killed", the he starts to read other labels which instruct him to look at the photos and notes and he becomes enraged and start training furiously. Meanwhile one of the Detectives manages to track down his residence using a bus ticket found at the scene of the previous murder. He gains entry to Sanjay's flat and attempts to apprehend him by using force and manages to tie him to chair, he then searches the flat for details. He finds a 2005 diary with the "Air Voice" logo emblazoned on it and begins to read it.
The diary tells of how Sanjay comes back to India from the US to take over the family mobile phone business and fulfil his father’s wishes of being the number 1 mobile company in India. Meanwhile the viewer also sees the day to day happening of a small time model receiving only background shots in TV adds. Whilst surveying sites for bill boards Sanjay see that a particular house would be ideal and sends his personal assistant to purchase the house from said model, Kalpana, she refuses to sell the house, however the rest of the cast and crew of the agency where she works is eavesdropping but miss hear parts of the conversation and assume that is a love affair her and Sanjay. The director forces Kalpana to contact Sanjay's office and she start pretending to speak to someone even after the phone was put down on her.
A reporter from a magazine comes and Kalpana starts fabricating a story about how her and Sanjay fell in love, the story is published and when Sanjay see its he demands to know who and why has reported it. He makes his way to Kalpana's house and whilst at some traffic lights sees a lady get down from a scooter to help some disabled children cross a large drain to get into a museum, Sanjay looks on in admiration. When he gets to Kalpana's house he realises that the person who helped the children and the person telling the fake story are infact Kalpana. He does not reveal who he is but she tells him about how she and Sanjay fell in love. She mistakes his name as Sachin but he doesn't correct her, he gives her his number and tells him she will find him work.
Kalpana contacts Sachin (Sanjay) and gets him work in an underwear ad, the two start to become friends and are shown to be getting more friendly with each other, while all the time Sanjay keeps making mistakes and showing that he is not familiar with regular city life. Sanjay eventually falls in love with Kalpana's after viewing how kind she is towards other people when she helps a blind man find the bus stop. After a New Years party Sanjay, still pretending to be Sachin, asks her to marry him, she says that she will tell him tomorrow. As an internal thought the viewer hears how if she says yes Sanjay will revels to her his true identity and if she says no he will leave her life.
This was the last entry in the 2005 diary, as the detective finds the 2006 diary, Sanjay breaks free from his bonds and start a fight with the detective, Sanjay is shown to have beaten the detective, then the clock starts to beep and he looks up and sees a leaflet stating the star guest at a college show is in fact someone called Ghajini. Sanjay makes his way to the college and bumps into the same medical student who wanted to do her project on him.
Recognising him she tries to talk to him and asks him to take 2 pictures of her and write "My Friend" on them so he will know her in the future, he then leaves taking one photo, as the show is about to start Ghajini appears and Sanjay takes a Polaroid of him and labels it "Ghajini 10/06/08", he then waits in the car park and phone Ghajini using a number he stole from the mobile of the man he murdered. A member of Ghajini's gang appears and Sanjay beats him up, the rest of the gang appears firing guns and Sanjay makes his escape. Before the gangster dies he tells the gang that Ghajini was the target not him.
Ghajini, fearful, goes out and kills all his gangster enemies, but is still feeling paranoid, meanwhile Sunita tracks down Sanjay's flat finds the door to be open and enters see the maps and photos along with the writing on the wall "GHAJINI!?", "REVENGE" and "KILL HIM" she sees Sanjay's photo of Ghajini and opens a cupboard door and finds the tied up detective, freeing him he tells her to run away and that Sanjay is a murderer. Sanjay appears in the other room and the detective bolts out the room and is chased by Sanjay who chases him but the detective is hit by a bus and Sanjay starts to chase Sunita, knowing that in 15 minutes he will have forgotten she hides in a shopping and when Sanjay come in to the shops she pretends she is his friend and escapes.
Sunita then goes to Ghajini's house and tells him all about Sanjay and his plan to murder him also that he can only remember 15 minutes at a time, Ghajini and his men stake out Sanjay's flat while, Sanjay is hiding in Ghajini's house. The phone rings and Sanjay picks it up, Sunita remembering that Sanjay has her pictures tells Sanjay who she thinks is Ghajini to not let the police find the photo. Sanjay finds the photo in his pocket and tracks down Sunita's student accommodation, Sunita manages to trap Sanjay in the lift and the Police arrive and arrest him using force.
At the Police station having no others leads on Sanjay's identity they start dialling the numbers tattooed on Sanjay, one of the numbers is Ghajini's, learning that Sanjay is under arrest Ghajini visits Sanjay telling the Police they are friends. Sanjay's Doctor, Manager and Secretary arrive and take him back home, Ghajini arrives that night while Sanjay is asleep that destroy his notes, photos and maps and using Sanjay's tattoo machine they tattoo over all of Sanjay's tattoos meaning that he now has no idea about his past.
