what abt videos dload speed machan? is it higher o lower dan 60 kb
    Yeah machan video also same.
it depends on the connection you have machan. Elakiri can give you almost near max bandwidth on your connections. So on a 512k ADSL max you can go around 55-61 KB/sec, it also depends on the distance you have to the operator’s exchange.

If you have 2mbps around 248KB/sec , 3mbps.. that one increases. But if you have a 100mbps ;) like sitting in front of a datacenter machine. sorry we cant max out your 100mbps connection coz you having an internet backbone not a normal internet connection.

You on SLT ADSL Home Express right? 512kbps?
It’s because in day time lot of people use the available bandwidth so it splits. You can’t do much about it. It’s the nature of ADSL, you don’t have any dedicated bandwidth. You share it with all the others. That’s why it’s cheaper than leased lines.

CDMA has 163.2 kbps as my friend says, normal spec says its 153.6 kbps on 800Mhz devices
Anyway max bandwith around 20K/Sec as i see

you can go over that like 30 but not stable. normal stable rate should be 19K/Sec like...

Ok to be honest the speeds didnt stay that high all the time, by the end they came down to about 115-120. Just couldn't stop my self from posting this :) Anyone who's technically interested, the download was through a shared backbone of an STM-1 (i.e. 155.5 mbps line) This line is currently serving all the universiies and some schools (which are on a pilot project). And, NO its no where near being saturated. Even at top rates, it barely exceeded 30mbps I think :)

Well i havent tested on that much high speed line. I have done it on a 2Mbps line.
Thats what we have on SL.
So on 512k it really reach 60 and on 2Mb around 248

I saw your images on firefox default browser download. Why don’t you use an download manager and download it with split parts. That way it'll increase the speed.

Anyway nice to see someone downloading @ 1.7Mb per sec even on one thread :D
