Meanwhile, Provincial Elections offices released voter turn-out figures as of 12 noon a short while ago.
The figures are as follows: Batticaloa – 20%, Ampara – 30%, Trincomalee – 20%, Anuradhapura – 25%, Polonnaruwa 35%, Rathnapura – 25%, Kegalle – 23%.
Election monitoring body PAFFREL said that 37 complaints of violations of election laws have been reported so far from all three provinces.
