With all the allowances, it gets around 55,000. This is common for all disciplines (civil, mech, chemical ..)But in Petrolium, CEB, Port they have adopted a separate salary structure. When compared with private sector, even the CEB salary is less. There are lot of semi government firms like NERD center, CECB where there salaries are also lower than private sector ( around 60 - 70 thousand with allowances.
