HP HP0-M17 today announced HP webOS 2.0, the most significant update to the platform since its launch in 2009 and a substantial step in HP’s vision to transform how people think, feel and connect. It also has advanced resiliency features that include memory mirroring, sparing, scrubbing for greater fault protection, as well as redundant data paths and advanced error containment.
The first device to run webOS 2.0, HP’s new Palm Pre 2 smartphone, will be available Friday in France from SFR and is scheduled to be available in the coming months in the United States from Verizon Wireless and in Canada.
HP Converged Infrastructure can be customized for emerging in-memory, mission-critical workloads, like SAP HANA. HP combined the HP ProLiant DL980 G7 Server with HP PREMA Architecture, which is designed specifically for high-performance workloads and supports two terabytes of high-speed memory, massive input/output and up to 64 processor cores.
With nearly half of SAP’s clients running HP systems, HP is uniquely positioned to help them change the way they access and use data as they modernize their SAP business intelligence infrastructure. HP will offer strategy and planning services to help clients in their feasibility assessments for introducing the SAP HANA 1.0 platform into their environments.
