    Money can never be an impediment if you are a billionaire connoisseur. And fanciest cars top the must-have list for this fast-growing species in India, besides having an aspirational value for us.
    This has resulted in a number of super expensive cars making a debut in the country in the past two-three years.
    We take a look at the most expensive ones available right here.

    Maybach 62

    Maybach 62 is a majestic automobile from DaimlerChrysler? s portfolio especially made for the filthy rich of the world. The vehicle is powered with a 12 cylinder 5513CCengine with two turbochargers and twin-spark ignition and produces a whopping 543 BHP.
    The car touches 100 kmph in 5.5 seconds. The car was launched three
    years ago in India with a price tag of Rs 5.5 crore and did not sell even one in the first two years.
    Its first customer came in last year when Manikchand pan masala tycoon bought this piece-de-resistance from the legendary maker of Mercedes.
    Such is the exclusivity of this finest limousine in the world - only 700 or so in total for the two models will be produced annually for the worldwide market - most people will be lucky even to see one, let alone own or ride in one.

    Rolls Royce Phantom

    Ranked as the sixth-generation Phantom, the ultra-luxury sedan is powered by a 453-HP, 6.75-litre V-12 engine. The aluminium space-frame construction makes this sedan the lightest structure ever used by Rolls-Royce.
    It also has advanced features like direct fuel injection, fully variable valve lift control and variable valve timing. The Phantom reaches 0-60 MPH in just 5.7 seconds with a maximum speed of 240 kmph.
    The car is the second most expensive car in India and priced at a whopping Rs 3.5 crore. Since its launch in India an year back, the company has been able to sell 10 cars till now.

    Lamborghini Murcielago

    Lamborghini Murcielago is the ultimate looking sports car with a 12-cylinder 6192CC heart that can deliver 580HP and attain a top speed of over 330 kmph. The body style is a two door, two seat coupe.
    And the supercar features a rear spoiler that can be raised to an angle of 70 degrees, the side mirrors fold in to increase aerodynamics and side scoops that automatically open to the needed size to let in just the right amount of air needed to cool its engine.
    You can expect to park it in your garage for Rs 3.25 crore. Only two cars have been sold in India in the past one year since launch.

    Bentley Arnage

    The Bentley Arnage represents the pinnacle of Bentley engineering and the embodiment of personal choice for the customer. The refinement of Arnage assures a buyer that he is buying more than just a high-quality car.
    It?s a four-door luxury sedan equipped with a standard 6.75-litre, V8, 400-horsepower engine. Arnage is clearly intended for those who crave, and can afford, the finer things in life.
    But with plenty of twin-turbo V8 power tucked neatly under the hood, it gives the rest of us something to dream about. The price tag on Arnage in India is a cool Rs 2.25 crore.
    The total sale figure for Arnage has already touched two-digits, according to Satya Bagla, director of Delhi-based Exclusive Motor, the only dealer of Bentley in India.

    Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

    The Gallardo Spyder promises to be the most drivable car Lamborghini has ever made. It is not just an open-top version of the Lamborghini Coup?, but is a completely new model with an attractive new design and a unique system for opening and closing the fabric roof.
    The vehicle has a 10-cylinder 4961CC propulsion unit that generates 520 HP at 8,000 RPM. One can book a Gallardo Spyder for Rs 2 Crore, same as the Audi A8.

    But the company hasn?t started delivering the vehicles as yet in India. The dealer has reportedly received order for three vehicles so far and the delivery is expected sometime in July.

    Bentley?s Continental Flying Spur

    Bentley?s Continental Flying Spur in India is claimed to be the world's fastest four-door car in production. The Flying Spur, priced at Rs 1.7 crore, is powered by a six-litre engine.
    It can travel at a maximum speed of 312km an hour, going from zero to 100 in 4.9 seconds. The car's 12-cylinder engine produces 552 BHP of power and 479 lb/ft of torque at 1,600 RPM, making it easy to drive at low speeds also.
    This ultimate product from the Bentley stable can be yours for Rs 1.85 crore. Similarly, Bentley GT also comes with a similar price tag. Ironically, the sales figure of both the cars is also in double digits, making Bentley hottest off the bloc in India among the priciest cars.

    Lamborghini Gallardo Coupe

    The Lamborghini Gallardo is an entry level car that features the new Lamborghini V10 engine. Ferrari F430 is the immediate competitor of this stylish car. Although it sits beneath the Murci?lago in terms of performance, it is still very high, and the Gallardo has much better rear ward visibility.
    According to reviewers, it is more maneuverable as well as more tractable in low-speed traffic making the Gallardo a much more practical car to drive.
    Well priced at Rs 1.8 crore, the company has sold total of just two vehicles in India.

    Audi A8

    Audi A8 is a real head-turner that comes in three variants. It has four-wheel drive and is equipped with a four-litre V8 engine.

    Audi A8 comes with state-of-the art safety features which include: anti-lock brake system, electronic brake-pressure distribution (EBD), driver and front passenger knee protection airbags, height adjustable upper mounts.

    This exotic automobile comes for Rs 1.5 crore with no sales figure being made available.

    BMW 7 series

    BMW 7 Series vehicles are one of the best driving luxury sedans in the world. Its V-12 engine generates 438 HP at 6000 RPM and 444 ft lbs of torque at 3950 RPM.

    Along with it, the car offers great luxury. Its longer wheelbase makes 760Li more spacious. It has an "active" suspension control system designed to reduce body-roll.
    Its active cruise control system allows you to maintain a pre-set distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead in highway driving.
    It also adds volume to our expensive cars list with a price tag of Rs 1.35 crore.
