6 killed, 70 wounded, bomb attack in Colombo Railway station

Six passengers were killed and at least 60 wounded in a bomb explosion inside Colombo Fort Railway station located in Colombo High Security area at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, initial reports said. The second bomb in Sri Lanka's capital city on Sunday has taken place a day before Sri Lanka's 60th Independence Day.

The explosion inside the station has taken place while Ambepussa train was passing the 3rd platform.

Another bomb blast inside Colombo Fort Railway station – 9 dead and motre than 100 injured

A second bomb blast reported inside the Colombo Fort railway station, targeting innocent civilians, today at 2.00 pm Sri Lanka time. Initial reports revealed nine people were killed and around 100 wounded. The victims were being evacuated to the Colombo National hospital. Spokesperson of the Colombo National Hospital Dr. Anil Jayasinghe told "Asian Tribune" that some of the injured persons are in critical conditions and death toll may rise.
