The assault on the Director of the movie, 'Prabhakaran' in Tamil Nadu further exposes the hypocrisy and double standards of (1) the so-called Free Media Movement (2) the Sinhala artistes who tried to promote 'Pongu Thamil' events in Colombo to boost the LTTE image (3) the NGO 'peaceniks,' (4) the bogus human rights crusaders and (5) the Tamil National Alliances jackasses.

Imagine that a Tamil film director from Tamil Nadu had been attacked by a Sinhala mob in Colombo in a manner in which the Director of the film 'Prabhakaran' was attacked and robbed in Tamil Nadu for making a film severely critical of the Tiger Leader. Needless to say in such an event we would have witnessed in Sri Lanka all these clowns screaming their heads off from the roof tops and accusing the GOSL of failing to prevent such an attack. These howls protest will be in support of similar protests that will obviously occur in Tamil Nadu.

When the Sinhala film 'Aksharaya' was banned due to its depiction of a mother's twisted (amorous) love towards her own son, the Free Media Movement lost no time in condemning the ban and issuing a nearly 500 word-press release.

And when the Chief Justice expressed support of the ban of the film in 2008, again the FMM lost no time issuing a near-700 media statement, stating, "Chief Justice's comments on film have grave implications for freedom of expression".
