At least five children were injured when a grenade exploded accidentally on a play ground at Selvanagar in Kilinochchi earlier today.
Police said the children were playing with the grenade, apparently unaware of the danger when it exploded.
The victims are currently being treated at the Killinochchi Hospital and their conditions are reported to be stable, police added.
