For those who dont know: Foobar2000 is a new audio player[not that new its been around for a while]. It is only available for windows for now but it's built on a new audio player platform that can be ported to other OSs but we'll have to wait till the author thinks of that. It has more options for playing audio and a very good EQ system.

taken from website:

Main features

* Supported audio formats: MP3, MP4, AAC, CD Audio, WMA, Vorbis, FLAC, WavPack, WAV, AIFF, Musepack, Speex, AU, SND... and more with additional components.
* Gapless playback.
* Full unicode support.
* Easily customizable user interface layout.
* Advanced tagging capabilities.
* Support for ripping Audio CDs as well as transcoding all supported audio formats using the Converter component.
* Full ReplayGain support.
* Customizable keyboard shortcuts.
* Open component architecture allowing third-party developers to extend functionality of the player.

For those who have heard about it[or for the ones who read the above paragraph:P]
: This thing is better than winamp, but thats my opinion even though its better it doesnt support video files. Has a great media library and above all people can make *fully* customizable skins for it not like winamp, wmp, or anything other the skinning engine is not supplied by foobar2000 the skin maker can make a skin engine too! so get ready to see some kick a** interfaces :P. There are separate plugins[called components] for foobar2000 when you download it from foobar2000.org you'll get only the common stuff download components from www.fb2k.org

Why use it?
I personally think its a very good audio player give it a try and post your comments.
One last thing...it uses about 4-10mb[can exceed if you load more components] of RAM on windows xp..thats good for old comp users :)
Please note that this player is only for quality music lovers not GUI lovers coz its GUI has a very low amount of graphics!! there are prettier interfaces @ deviantart.com tho :).....dont let eyes fool you WE LISTEN THRU OUR EARS! hehe
