They will stick by their basic fee, but will negotiate add-ons.Benteke remains the explosive powerhouse the Reds signed from Villa for £32.5m, and there is no doubt he could reproduce his best form in a system that maximises his strengths.  The forward still managed to hit double figures last season, despite being a stylistic mismatch at Anfield.Liverpool’s position is fortified by the fact that West Ham, among others, also list Benteke as a potential target.  A player of his age and experience, with his goal return will generate plenty of interest given the dearth of quality attacking talent available in the window.Palace are confident of acquiring Benteke, and should the deal materialise on Liverpool’s terms, he will become the fourth biggest sale in the club’s history behind only Luis Suarez, Fernando Torres and Raheem Sterling.  The Reds would recoup most of the money they shelled out for the attacker with the basic fee, and could even make a profit should add-ons be factored in and then triggered over and above the £30m.</blockquote>
