They insisted that Benteke would not be sold on the cheap - as a "present" - despite his status as a fringe player.  The 25-year-old will bank the club their fourth-highest sum for an outgoing player when the extras come into effect.Only Raheem Sterling, Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres have commanded a bigger price when exiting Anfield.  From last summer to this one, Benteke has cost £64.5m in transfer fees, confirming the demand for proven goalscorer in the Premier League.
