There are no permanant residency scheme for foreign spouses as well as they can't do jobs In sri lanka or even have bank accounts . Basically foreign spouses are domestic prisoners . If they renewed VISA  it's only for 2 years and everytime you renew it, it require husbands concent .as my wife is a foreign spouse we face so many problems . I heard recently they change immigration act . But seems its never pass the ministries approval . Any information regarding this of if you are a spouse of foreign partner, please share any information you have with rights</blockquote>
