Message: <blockquote data-quote="Opinion" data-source="post: 25163364" data-attributes="member: 567412">lets say you're making thousands of dollars by doing an online job. what do you say when people ask you what kind of job you do ? these days people think they can easily do what you do if they know how to use facebook and instagram <img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/default/lol.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":lol:" title="LOL    :lol:" data-shortname=":lol:" /> people in tech dont get the respect they got 10 , 15 years back. those days working online was something cool. my question is what do you say if people ask you what kind of job you do ? i know its not a good idea to tell them you're doing freelancing because they will question you about how they can do it just like you do. remember people these days think they can do anything in tech if they know how to post a photo on facebook <img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/default/lol.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":lol:" title="LOL    :lol:" data-shortname=":lol:" /> the funny part is they dont ask these question from doctors , accountants , bank managers , civil engineers etc <img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/default/lol.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":lol:" title="LOL    :lol:" data-shortname=":lol:" /> they shoot you tons of questions if you're a freelancer , software engineer , web developer , network engineer etc. some people think tech industry is for guys who fail o level , a level and university. they think this is peanuts like using instagram <img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/default/lol.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":lol:" title="LOL    :lol:" data-shortname=":lol:" /></blockquote>
