Tamil Nadu's LTTE spokesman Gopalaswamy Vaiko has asked the French Government to help immediately to carve out a separate Tamil State in Sri Lanka. He wants the French Authorities to recognize the LTTE as the Tamils sole representative, which the Sri Lankan armed were trying to destroy.
He made this absurd request during a rally held in Paris to commemorate Tigress Poopathy Kanapathipillai.
Patriotic Sri Lankan expatriates have protested to the French Government for allowing Vaiko to enter France. They said that giving him an entry visa meant that the government was encouraging separatist terrorism.
Earlier UNP's Sinhala 'Tiger' Jayalth Jayawardena met Vaiko along with CWC Thondaman to discuss on how to 'resolve' the Tamil question.
