Hey I just need to know whether the 9600GT is worth buying compared to the 9500GT...
Coz I dnt hav a clear idea abt the current VGA market... :D
An EVGA 9600GT is abt $100...
The 9500GT costs $30 dollars less..
So I just wanna know whether there's a big difference (performance wise) between the two ..

Pls note that I won't be playing any "extreme graphic" games with this VGA...
Just for normal day to day PC work and to watch Movies..That's it :D

Thanks in advance...

If there are other VGA's (ATI or NVIDIA)in the above range pls mention them.....
ATI HD4670 is faster than 9500GT by a long margin, and the prices are comparable. :)

9600GT is future proof for you, but it needs auxiliary power .. so will need a good Power supply too.. from the things you said it seems 9500GT will suit you, ( I don't know). it doesn't need additional power too.. But make sure you buy the GDDR3 variant as GDDR2 version is also available..

Thanks for the replies guys :D

Just to clear one more thing So assuming i am going for a HD4670 or a 9500GT will a normal PSU support them..? Or will i have to buy a new PSU too..??
Coz like gayannr mentioned most of them new VGA's require auxiliary power right..?? So even if it doesn't require a separate power supply will those generic PSU's in the local market be able to handle them without any problem..? :)

Thanks again :D

Since It doesn't need auxiliary power, we know the VGA itself will not consume more than 75W. Say 50W, So a Generic PSU will do the job, I've seen on some forums People having 8800GT use crappy Mercury PSUs. The PSU comes with Foxconn Casings is fine.. they are not Generic too..
By the way I'm not sure about the availability of HD4670 here in SL :(
