why not?? 95 octane is should by the luxury class vehicles such as BMW's,Mercs and Audis......Not unfair taxing them more than the 92 octane used by the smaller vehicles,Motor Cycles etc....

Some vehicles pump 95 octane when it's not a manufacturers requirement to do so....it's their own choice....Only a few classes of vehicles need to be fuled only by 95 octane....

same goes for super diesel as only prados and monteros use super diesel and therefore no harm in taxing them more

You are a little bit retarded aren't you
Petrol Price difference 3Rs - Difference in Taxes 20Rs
Diesel Price difference 1Rs - Difference in Taxes 17Rs :P

BTW why don't you increase taxes for Super Fuel about 50Rs more because your logic is awesome :P

    +1, Sonique.

Moreover, 95 octane requirement depends on the compression ratio of an engine regardless of the manufacturer :) plus many new diesel engines are designed to run on low sulfur diesel due to environmental concerns.

However, metric countries normally measure volume at 15 °C (59 °F), while the US measures volume of oil products at 60 °F. There is a small temperature coefficient correction that is based on the density of the oil, so it is not just a straight volumetric conversion. For precise work, you should recognize you are converting barrels at 60 °F to liters at 15 °C.
