The new Wolfdale(e7200) the allendale(e6300) etc have massive OC headroom.. the reason why Life span goes down when u Oc is beacause the heat generated from gets more. but the e7200 can be easily taken to 3.00 GHz without third party cooling..and without a lot of temp changing..so it does not change it's life span much. and even if it did when we come to the point where the cpu is gonna get KIA it would be far into the future so it would be out dated anyway.. <img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/default/P.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":P" title=":P    :P" data-shortname=":P" />again i have to stress the point that Prescott/Northwood users must not OC if they dont have third party cooling as for us C2D peeps fire away!!</blockquote>
