I'll interpret what I remember from the books. 1. As I remember Eddard never says that his sister was kidnapped & raped. That is what everybody else knows including Robert Baratheon. Whether the king was mad or wrong doesn't make a difference. I don't know what happened in the TV show but in the books the same fight is there. And I saw somewhere in this post mentioning that Sir Arthur dayne was handling two swords in the show. Dual Wielding. In the books he's a skilled fighter and doesn't wield two swords but a Greatsword call the "Dawn" (Some say that this could be the legendary "Lightbringer". This was created by a metal from a fallen star. the colour is white)2. Sir Barriston was only pardoned after Robert was made king. During the battle of the trident barrystan fought with Rhaegar against Eddard, Robert & Arryn. He was injured badly and taken off the battle. He accepted the pardon because at last, there was no point. Still I remember that he is a bit ashamed of accepting the pardon maybe.  And he disgusts the kingslayer. Finally when the lannisters humiliate him, he goes to essos and joins dany with Strong Belwas named as Arstan Whitebeard (This is not the case in the show). Later when he talks to dany, he sometimes say that he is ashamed of some of his actions.(I remember him saying something like sir hightower or the sword of the morning wouldn't have done as he did or something)But eddard couldn't discuss with the rest of the kingsguard. They will not hear anything other than their kings' orders. Eddard knew this. If you read the books you'd know even what Sir Gerold told at that time before the fight began.3. I don't understand what you've stated here. Did eddard killed arthur or did howland killed arthur???4. Yeah I heard the stabbing part. In the books this is not stated properly. The exact circumstances of his death are unknown. Only eddard & reed knew and now eddard is dead so only reed knows and maybe his children too. (It could be out of character to kill him like that but during that time it is said that no one could beat him in a duel. But I think martin won't describe the fight likewise in the books)</blockquote>
